Imbued with the lightweight versatility to effortlessly handle everything from floaty, loose trail to fast rolling hardpack, the Maxxis Minion DHR II 3CDouble DownTR 27. 5in Tire is a go to choice for downhill and freeride adventures. The DHR borrows the shoulder lugs from its sibling, the DHF, for a slightly wider stance than the OG DHR. The center lugs, which were once completely separated, are now nearly joined for a bit of a paddle effect. Together these improvements mean better cornering and improved braking, especially in loose conditions.Maxxis' Double Down dual ply casing construction provides slightly heavier, downhill worthy protection compared to EXO. While this does add a bit of weight, it makes up for that small compromise with increased durability through hard charging runs and heart dropping descents.
