Weight conscious backpackers and bike packers will appreciate Nemo Equipment's Apollo 3P Tarp for its ultralight weight and minimalist design. The shelter sports a pentagonal pyramid shape that will sleep three or a single person and a mountain bike, and the nylon ripstop fly will keep either sleeping arrangement dry thanks to a PUsilicone coating. The Apollo is not a freestanding shelter, but its single pole design keeps its trail weight to just two pounds. Nemo Equipment included all the guy lines and stakes needed to pitch the shelter, and even threw in a repair kit, just in case you need to make a quick fix in the field.
