The R Skin features narrower dimensions than your average cross country touring ski and it's equipped with a taller, race inspired camber that's designed to offer a more traditional, yet still equally as powerful, glide and follow through. However, in order to maintain a lightweight feel, the folks over at Rossignol built the R Skin with an Activ'Cap construction for durability and a more traditional, touring feel, while the Premium Low Density Core and mixed Honeycomb technology ensure the ski stays lightweight and lively underfoot. Additionally, the longer length is designed to provide more glide in front of and behind the mounting zone which, the R Skin ultra is NIS compatible, as well. Not to mention, the mohair kick zone is easily replaceable when it's tired and worn out.
