Shrinking and pinking used to be a viable way to make women's cycling gear, but times have changed, and products like the Selle Italia SLR Lady Flow Women's Saddle is proof that the cycling world is taking ladies, and their gear, seriously. That said, the Lady Flow takes some cues from the classic SLR Flow, such as its 275mm length, Lorica artificial leather cover, and the surgical grade Ti 316 rails. It shares the carbon injected nylon shell, too, which provides a killer blend of stiffness, support, and comfort, so you can ride hard without suffering excessively. The rest of the Lady Flow, though, has been redesigned. The rear wings are 135mm in width, four millimeters wider than the men's saddle, to comfortably fit female sit bones, and the nose is also slightly wider and designed to take your weight off sensitive pressure points. There's also slightly thicker padding in key areas to reduce vibration and increase comfort, but the Lady Flow is still a decidedly minimalist offering. Minimal doesn't mean wimpy, though the Lady Flow is tough enough that Selle Italia rates it for road, cyclocross, and mountain bike use, so you can pick up three and stick them on all of your rides.
