Understanding that we all often overestimate the amount of time we have until sunset in the fall, Showers Pass created the Women's Long Sleeve Alpine Jersey with reflectivity in mind. Aiming to make you visible to motorists and other road users from every angle, the brand included 13 different reflective accents throughout the jersey to illuminate you when you're pedaling along dim back roads and on overcast days. Best of all, the brand managed to do so tastefully, adding a large back reflective accent that's only visible at night so you end up with a jersey that isn't purely about function. The Alpine works best when the skies are clear and the roads are dry, as it's constructed with a non treated softshell fabric that's designed to insulate, not repel water. The brushed interior works to create a layer of warm air around your muscles, while still remaining breathable and continuously wicking moisture so you don't end up cold and clammy at the top of a climb. Anticipating changing alpine temperatures from bottom to top, Showers Pass added a highly breathable Coolmax lining as well as mesh arm vents to the jacket to further improve its breathability. To protect your phone or other electronics from sweat, Showers Pass made the jacket's single back pocket waterproof, and it added a gripper to the elastic hem to ensure it stays in place, even when you have it loaded down with stuff.
