Silva Explorer Type 3 Compass

The Explorer features an ergonomically designed base plate that fits your hand. The extended base plate has inch and 110 mile direct reading scales for U.S.G.S. 1:24,000 and 1:62,500 maps plus a magnifier for reading details. It also has a declination scale for quick adjustment of map bearings to field headings, 2 degree dial graduations, a lanyard, and a red North at 360 degrees with red orienting arrow for a 'Red to North Red' needle match.
