Known for tackling the world's most formidable terrain, Jeremy Jones demands a highly responsive boot that's not only reliable in the backcountry, but also extremely comfortable on strenuous approaches. Designed through rigorous development with Jeremy himself, the ThirtyTwo Men's Jones MTB represents the evolution of backcountry touring performance. Innovative design features, such as a waterproof stretch Cordura lace gaiter and Walk Mode collar with Boa cuff release, make this boot essential for serious backcountry enthusiasts looking to push the boundaries of what's possible in the mountains. Designed from the ground up for the needs of backcountry touring, the Walk Mode collar features a Boa cuff release. This allows for longer strides when you're skinning, also saving your knees from the undo stress of a traditional, motion restricting boot in tour mode. Another unique feature, the waterproof stretch Cordura lace gaiter, prevents laces from freezing solid when you're out in the backcountry all day or even camping out to get the goods. In fact, this was something that Jeremy specifically addressed, as he had previous experiences with his boots freezing solid, resulting in him sleeping in his snowboard boots, as he couldn't even take them off. Additionally, you'll appreciate the aggressively lugged Vibram sole, complete with a heel welt for use with both strap and clip crampons. This boot is stiff for uncompromising response needed for slaying the steepest faces and longest descents in the backcountry. And like all of ThirtyTwo's offerings, there's a thermo moldable liner, complete with top of the line Level 3 Intuition foam for a precise, foot conforming fit. It's worth noting that this version of the Level 3 liner is ventilated for enhanced thermo regulation when you're exerting yourself on long, sweaty tours and rigorous bootpacks up steep chutes and couloirs.
