Every time I ride to Elbert, I notice a big house on top of one of the bluffs. It was built just a few years ago. It’s noticeable for both it’s size and design. It must have a great view of the mountains. It also must get some brutal winds especially in the winter.
When I did my century ride on Sunday, I saw that it was for sale. There was a box of flyers and I stopped because I was curious. Just the garage is almost as big as my house including the basement! It’s described as a 10+ car garage. The garage is 2132 square feet and the house is 6225 square feet. It will only set you back $4.9 million.

Rob,
Does that house look better than the pictures? I know you probably haven’t been inside, but from those pics, it looks like a big, ugly, barn.
Who’d want to buy that?
Just curious
I’ve never seen it except from Elbert Road which is where I took the picture I posted. I took it where you can see the most of it. Most spots you can only see a little of it. At least from the road it looks pretty nice to me but that’s just my opinion.
I think the pictures the realtor has of the inside makes it look big. For one thing it is especially with the high ceilings. Maybe if they had some furniture in it, it wouldn’t look so bad.
$4.9 million?? That's it? Can I buy it for that much and just transplant it to Southern California? 🙂
