Free National Parks Days 2014

133 of the 401 national parks charge an entrance fee but the National Park Service has a few free days a year. For 2014 the first free day is Monday, January 20th for Martin Luther King Day. You can find the parks that normally charge a fee but are free on these days on this list.

• February 15-17 – Presidents Day weekend
• April 19-20 – opening weekend of National Park Week
• August 25 – National Park Service Birthday
• September 27 – National Public Lands Day
• November 11 – Veterans Day
